At John Hampden Surgery, we recognise the important role carers play in supporting family members, friends and loved ones. We are committed to identifying and supporting carers to ensure they receive the help, information and recognition they deserve.
Our dedicated Carers Champion, Jenny, supports carers within the practice by offering guidance, reassurance and signposting to local services and support networks.
Jenny works to ensure carers feel recognised, listened to and supported when accessing healthcare services.
We can offer:
Help registering as a carer with the practice
Flexible appointments where appropriate
Information about local support services
Health and wellbeing advice
Signposting to community organisations
If you are a carer, please let reception know so we can update your records and ensure you receive appropriate support.
We work closely with local organisations that provide advice, emotional support and practical help for carers.
Carers Bucks
Local council support services
Young carers support
A carer is anyone who provides unpaid support to a family member, partner or friend who could not manage without help due to illness, disability, mental health needs or age.
If this sounds like you, please contact the surgery — we are here to help.
