Specialist support is available locally for children and young people who may need help with drug or alcohol use.
The Children and Young People Drug and Alcohol Service, delivered by Change Grow Live, provides confidential advice, support and treatment for:
Young people aged 10–18
Vulnerable young adults aged 18–24
Young people using, or at risk of using, drugs or alcohol
Children affected by a parent or carer’s substance use
Support may include early advice, interventions and structured care planning where needed.
If you would like support or advice, please speak to the surgery team, who can help guide you to the appropriate service.
We recommend Healthier Together, a trusted website and app designed to help parents and carers understand common childhood illnesses and know when to seek medical help.
The easy-to-follow traffic light system helps families understand:
When symptoms can be managed at home
When to contact the GP
When urgent medical care is needed
Using Healthier Together helps children receive the right care at the right time and supports families in feeling confident about managing minor illness.

Healthier Together also provides up-to-date advice on common childhood conditions, including:
Infant reflux (GOR)
Headaches
Croup
Eczema
Iron deficiency anaemia
Childhood obesity
More guidance continues to be added as new pathways are developed.
